My Life Is Complete! Show tracks for Sat. Nov. 24/12

Was it live or was it Memorex? It was most definitely Memorex, as I went to the opera last night. As my friend so aptly put it a "F@cking rock opera!" Last night The Who was in Detroit performing Quadrophenia with some of their greatest hits to boot. One word review - WOW! My musical life is complete right now. The most complete it's been since being at Madstock 3.

Stay tuned in coming weeks as Cowboys & Indies is proud to be part of CJAM's Joe Strummer Day this year. Stay tuned for more info. That show will be followed by the 2012 Festive 50 Countdown shows. December looks to be a huge month here at C&I.

Tell All Your Friends! Show tracks for Sat. Nov. 10/12

More Talk, Less Rock! Only for 1 week as we enter pledge drive mode.
The one time of the year that we ask listeners and supporters to make a pledge
and support CJAM, campus/community radio here in Windsor.
Thanks to all who called in and pledged tonight. If you couldn't manage to make
a pledge tonight, you still can all week at www.cjam.ca or calling the station live.

For a theme, we basically played a little old and a little new. Their were some new tracks from Foals, Clinic and Viv Albertine in a mini lp session. And some old favourites that didn't qualify for the big countdown show a few weeks back.
Hope you enjoyed the show.

Spirit In The Sky! Show tracks for Sat. Nov. 3/12

Sadly we start off the show with news that Jo Dunne from Fuzzbox died at the very young age of 43 after a short and sudden battle with cancer last Saturday. Scott had emailed me the news last week just as I was leaving the house. So I figured lets do this right and pay tribute on this week's show. So we open the show with 3 tracks from We've Got A Fuzzbox & We're Going To Use It. RIP Jo.

Shameless promotion time!
It's pledge drive time again. The one time that CJAM asks the loyal listeners to help support non-profit campus community radio.
This years Pledge Drive is from November 9th to the 16th. We are aiming to raise $25,000 this year.
It’s a huge goal but helps in two regards: it accounts for a part of our annual budget and it goes towards our Power Increase. Quadrupling our signal’s reach is becoming a reality with your help and support.
Every $50 donation will receive a black American Apparel t-shirt with CJAM’s headphone logo. A $30 donation gets you a music pack of your choosing. We will also have prizes from local businesses and organizations.
Our pledge drive show will be next Saturday. You can call during show times and pledge to CJAM through this show or pledge anytime at cjam.ca
